Early Years Educator: English Class Teacher

Overview

Eminent International Preschool is a nature school in Hong Kong with a focus on holistic education and play-based learning. We integrate these through inquiry-based projects incorporating the EYFS and English National Curriculum Frameworks in our classrooms and outdoor settings. We are a dedicated and passionate team and are now seeking a qualified and experienced Early Years teacher, to join us in the 2025-2026 Academic Year.

 

Areas of Responsibility and Key Tasks

  • Conduct class teaching in an English co-teaching setting.

  • Design, prepare and deliver activities to suit the individual needs of all students using a range and balance of teaching strategies in collaboration with a co-teacher.

  • Ensure the classroom and school environment are well- managed, inviting, organised, and neatly presented.

  • Assess and monitor pupils progress and provide clear learning targets so that all learners can grow and succeed.

  • Maintain individual Tapestry Portfolios of Learning for your students.

  • Nurture meaningful relationships with pupils and their families and provide the individual attention and support as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and management as required.

  • Participate in school functions such as whole school events, professional development days, training, and extra-curricular activities.

  • Contribute to the progress and development of the school such as curriculum planning.

 

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • University degree and a recognised qualification (such as PGCE) in Early Childhood Education

  • Native Level English speaker.

  • Minimum 3 years international preschool/ kindergarten teaching experience is preferred.

  • Experience working with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is preferred.

 

Personal Qualities, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Love being outdoors and have a keen interest in nature-based activities.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • High level of collaboration is essential.

  • Willingness to work alongside teachers from a variety of different backgrounds.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
